In addition to redirecting the juvenile&#8217;s behavior, attention and intervention efforts are given to strengthen parental control and functioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Services may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Supervision by Social Work staff<\/li><li>Parenting Education<\/li><li>In-home family services<\/li><li>Coordinated Services Team (CST)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocdss.com\/faq#teen_runaway\">Youth Justice Frequently Asked Questions<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Juvenile Court Intake Services<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Juvenile court intake workers provide services to the court, juveniles, and families in which the juvenile has committed an act that is against the law. Our agency receives referrals from law enforcement and confers with the District Attorney&#8217;s Office regarding the disposition of the case. An Intake Inquiry is conducted for each case and a decision is made how to proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following options are available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Counsel and release<\/li><li>Deferred Prosecution Agreement<\/li><li>Referral to the District Attorney recommending juvenile court intervention<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Juvenile Intake Services<\/em>&nbsp;&#8211; Juvenile intake services are provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for the purpose of screening children and juveniles taken into custody by law enforcement. If you do not indicate that you will be back for your child this is called \u201cSafe Haven\u201d or \u201cInfant Relinquishment.\u201d You do not have to give your name or address to the professional accepting the baby, unless:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25aa&nbsp; The baby has been harmed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25aa&nbsp; You are being forced by someone to give up the baby<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25aa&nbsp; The baby is more than 3 days old<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may be asked if you are willing to fill out a form. This form is NOT required.
